Hesai, a pioneer in lidar technology, recently revealed a fresh design triumph with SAIC’s Rising Auto line of electric vehicles (formerly known as the R brand; also known as “Feifan” in China). Hesai’s long-range automotive lidar, the AT128 will be included in the upcoming Rising Auto model.
One of the biggest automakers in China, SAIC Motor, owns the premium all-electric vehicle brand Rising Auto. Rising Auto is dedicated to developing a “mid-to-high-end pure electric intelligent mobile sector,” consistently utilising technology to realise the dream of green and intelligent transportation. Rising Auto is a user-oriented and data-driven automotive technology firm.
For ADAS series production vehicles, Hesai’s AT128 automotive-grade, long-range lidar has secured over several million units of estimated volume from 10 top OEMs. The AT128 began mass production and shipping in 2022 and has since been delivered for several different automobile types, with a monthly delivery rate of over 20,000 units. Hesai will have established an annual record in the global lidar market by the end of 2022 with a cumulative delivery of more than 100,000 units since its beginnings.
