An immersive educational and professional centre for the Australian fashion and design industry has been developed in collaboration between the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
The facility, also known as the Creative Industries Academy, is the most recent effort to link business and education at Sydney’s Tech Central campus, which is quickly expanding.
University students will have the chance to create and present significant exhibitions alongside creative professionals thanks to the association’s expansion of research and development across the creative sector. The center’s position in Tech Central is essential for bringing together students from nearby colleges and business people.
Ultimo, a neighbourhood of UTS, is included in Tech Central, Australia’s newest innovation hub, which brings together technology, creativity, and education in six neighbourhoods on the southern outskirts of Sydney’s central business district.
According to Professor Glenn Wightwick, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise at UTS, “Tech Central is swiftly becoming into a world-class research and commercialization centre.”
The refurbished campus at UTS, which is in the centre of this vibrant neighbourhood, enables us to take the lead and work with others on a variety of research and entrepreneurship initiatives.
