DXC will continue to manage Green Cargo's mission-critical systems and enhance cybersecurity as part of the six-year contract renewal as Green Cargo makes the transition to a more agile and flexible business. DXC will provide infrastructure and application services, as well as IT service management, to support Green Cargo's quick digital transformation into a cloud-first business that is data-driven and focused on innovation.

According to Ingo Paas, CIO at Green Cargo, "DXC is a strategic partner and brings years of deep industry expertise to help us work as a data-driven business, innovate faster, and deliver on our sustainability goals.""DXC is assisting us in modernising processes across our intermodal business by further optimising and integrating our legacy IT-systems with the most cutting-edge digital technologies," the company said.

Swedish rail cargo enterprise Green Cargo, which is controlled by the government, moves more than 21 million tonnes of cargo annually. Green Cargo transports goods throughout Europe and serves about 300 locations in the Nordic region with the assistance of its partners.

For almost nine years, DXC has been a key partner of Green Cargo. According to the conditions of the new contract, DXC will begin implementing its Rail Cargo Management Solution (RCMS) for the Nordic Transport Rail (NTR) group of Green Cargo. Fleet management, capacity management, and logistics management are just a few of the numerous applications and activities that can be managed by the adaptable, industry-standard software programme known as RCMS.

Digital technologies are transforming the rail sector. According to Martin Björk, Managing Director Sweden at DXC Technology, data is at the centre of this change because it helps rail operators make better informed decisions about their operations and satisfy goals for increased efficiency, customer service, and sustainability. We are thrilled to continue working with Green Cargo and support its adoption of the technologies required to enable innovation and growth.
