Under the Cameroon Pre-Shipment Evaluation of Conformity (PECAE) program, TÜV Rheinland has been appointed to perform the verification of conformity, inspection, and certification processes for exported consignments and regulated products entering Cameroon under the Cameroon Pre-Shipment Evaluation of Conformity (PECAE) program.

In its capacity as an authorized Conformity Assessment Body, TÜV Rheinland will provide support for the Cameroonian government in ensuring that conformity assessment operations are conducted in the countries of export before shipment to Cameroon is made. The purpose of this is to prevent the importation of substandard goods, protect local producers from unfair competition, and ensure the safety of consumers at the same time.
Following the completion of the conformity assessment process, in accordance with the standards and regulations, and receiving the Attestation of Conformity (AoC) from TÜV Rheinland, exporters or importers will be able to obtain a Certificate of Conformity from the L'Agence des Normes et de la Qualité (ANOR) in order for smooth market access to Cameroon based on the issued Certificate of Conformity.
Besides Cameroon, TÜV Rheinland also provides conformity assessment services under the PECAE Program scheme in various African countries such as Botswana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, Morocco, Tanzania, and Uganda.
