This year's Final Tournament was held over two days, with 15 of the players who had won their way through the Final Regional Qualifiers participating as well as last year's champion, making a total of 16 players.
IDN | Vile, the contestant who won a place in the tournament through the newly instated Wildcard bracket during the Final Regional Qualifiers, as well as advanced through the new Final Tournament double-eliminations, went up against ????????, last year's third place winner, and emerged victorious in claiming the title of No. 1 Player in the World.
There was a video letter played at the end of the tournament that contained a message from Yoichi Takahashi, the original creator of Captain Tsubasa, to the competitors.
As a result of the video, it was revealed that Yoichi Takahashi himself would be donating the prize for first place to the winner. Additionally, IDN | Vile will receive other rewards in addition to the illustration, including special in-game items and a championship trophy, as well as a special in-game item.
