The exhibition this year will feature 700 MSMEs selected from 3132 applicants from across Indonesia. The MSMEs will be categorized into five different sectors, namely Home Décor&Craft, Food&Beverages, Accessories&Beauty, Fashion&Textiles, and Healthcare/Wellness.. There are several criteria that are used in the curation process, including design, innovation, social and environmental impact, export capabilities, as well as achievements and recognition.. There will be virtual business matching sessions that will run from 27-29 November, which will connect buyers with selected MSME participants. Buyers who wish to participate can register on the website brilianpreneur.com.
A total of 43 buyers from 19 countries attended last year's UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR, resulting in potential deals worth US$76.7 million during the event.
Apart from business matching and the exhibition of MSME products, the event also includes activities such as: online/offline bazaars, MSME awards, consultation sessions with representatives of the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Home Affairs, performances by various artists, art installations, live shopping sessions on various e-commerce platforms, and expert-led creative lab workshops. 
The BRI collaborated with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SME (Kemenkop UKM) as well as leading e-commerce brands - Shopee, Tokopedia, Blibli, Zalora, and PadiUMKM. After MSMEs are on boarded, BRI creates exclusive discounts from December 1-31, 2023.
In partnership with the Specialty Coffee Association, BRI organized an International Championship Coffee competition featuring three competitions: the Indonesia Barista Championship, the Indonesia Brewers Cup Championship, and the Indonesia Tester Cup Championship.
Through a series of exhibitions, business matching and other productive activities, UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR has successfully launched domestic MSMEs into the global market since 2019. This aligns with BRI's commitment to promote national economic growth through various actions, including empowering local MSMEs.
The UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR initiative is an initiative launched by the BRI to promote Indonesian MSMEs globally, leveraging the quality of local products for international competitiveness.
