CertaSite acquires Dayton’s Copp Systems

CertaSite®, a national leader in the field of fire and life safety, announced today that it has acquired Copp Systems ("Copp"), a security and fire protection company based in Dayton, Ohio. This is CertaSite's sixth acquisition in Ohio and its 24th overall.
It is the mission of CertaSite to provide the highest level of customer service, responsiveness, building safety and code compliance to customers across the Midwest. In addition to providing customers with a simplified and dependable solution for managing all of the fire protection and life safety systems in commercial buildings, the company goes beyond compliance by focusing on partnership and professionalism.

All Copp employees have joined CertaSite as a result of the close of the acquisition. The owner of Copp, Bill DeFries, will continue to run the company in a new capacity to expand CertaSite's access control and video surveillance business to new markets across the company. As part of this product expansion, CertaSite will be able to offer its customers a new area of technology.
A world class technology management center located in Dayton, Ohio, will be the location where Copp Systems will manage the cloud-based platforms that CertaSite will deploy across the company. In the future, CertaSite will be able to optimize life safety and security programs with interactive remote support for fire alarms, integrated video and access control solutions, and customized monitoring applications.
