In a landmark test, Stratio Business Data, a market leader in generative AI and data analytics, announced today that generative AI tools are 99% accurate when they are used with Stratio Business Semantic Data Layer, and can be trusted by enterprises to inform their decision-making.
It is therefore possible for employees at any level of technical expertise to use generative AI tools to run complex data queries and immediately receive accurate answers, assuming Stratio's Business Semantic Data Layer is also applied in the process. 
It replicated a benchmark previously conducted by data.world which found that ChatGPT-4's accuracy increased threefold when it was linked to a knowledge graph. However, Stratio BD found that ChatGPT-4 was able to answer data queries conducted on large amounts of data with high accuracy rates, up to 99 percent of the time.
In order to achieve the significant increase, we used Stratio BD's Business Semantic Data Layer, a solution that enables large data sets to be connected to business meaning through semantic ontologies and knowledge graphs, so that the data sets can be easily accessed and interpreted by both generative AI tools as well as employees. 
As part of the benchmarking test, ChatGPT-4 was asked to answer a set of insurance related business questions, such as 'What is the average time for a claim to be settled?', using information from a standardised dataset to answer these questions. 
Initially, ChatGPT was asked to answer these questions without using the Business Semantic Data Layer of Stratio BD and achieved a 17% accuracy rate. As a result of using Stratio's solution, the accuracy rate of the LLM was drastically increased to up to 99%. When the LLM was asked the same questions with the support of a 3rd party knowledge graph, the accuracy rate was 69%.
