The third annual Pink & Black – Breast Cancer Fundraiser Fashion Show Gala, which will take place on October 22nd, was just announced by Dr. Jacque Colbert.

The 14-year Breast Cancer survivor also announced the formation of her own 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organisation, Sipping PositivTEA, which will focus on the eradication of Breast Cancer and have as its goals the empowerment of women, men, and families affected by breast cancer and related disorders. Sipping PositiviTEA intends to provide financial assistance, together with aftercare support, educational materials, and cooperation with partner organisations, during diagnosis and treatment. Mathew Knowles will serve as the event’s keynote speaker and share his story of battling breast cancer to commemorate this historic milestone and raise awareness of the most recent danger to the disease.

While some people will learn they have breast cancer, for those who finish treatment, ringing the cancer-free bell is such a meaningful event. With researchers identifying the most recent hazard that is now affecting men, there have been several technological advancements in relation to breast cancer. Both men and women are born with breast tissues and cells, which increases their risk of developing breast cancer. According to Cancer.org, this year will see 2,710 new cases of breast cancer in men, and 530 of those cases will result in deaths from the disease.
