Two of SANY Heavy Industry’s (“SANY”) recognised “Lighthouse” facilities are now a part of the esteemed Global Lighthouse Network (GLN) of the World Economic Forum.

SANY is a significant player in the high-end equipment manufacturing sector. The SANY Drilling Machinery Factory in Beijing is the first accredited flagship facility in the world’s heavy industry, followed by the “No. 18” factory in Changsha.
The GLN, created in partnership with McKinsey, honours flagship factories around the globe that are leading manufacturing locations for globalisation 4.0 and digital manufacturing, as well as those that exhibit the highest level of industrial intelligence (Intelligent manufacturing, IM), scanning, and analysis.
A digital and adaptable heavy equipment manufacturing system has been established in Factory No. 18 thanks to SANY’s full utilisation of flexible automated production, AI, and IoT solutions at scale. This is in response to the difficulties posed by cycle fluctuations in the heavy industry market and low-volume heavy part production. The advancements are substantial: SANY increased productivity by 98%, expanded production capacity by 123%, and cut unit manufacturing costs by 29%.
