A variety of brand-new gourmet dining options and time-honored favourites will be available to passengers sailing aboard a Princess Cruises vacation during the 2022 holiday season.
The Princess Cruise Culinary Collection of Holiday Menus, a new series of inspired fare available in the main dining rooms throughout the fleet, was unveiled today by the Princess culinary arts team, headed by Chef Rudi Sodamin. The menus range from a Thanksgiving feast featuring five entrees to the meaningful and fun foods of Hanukkah, mouthwatering Christmas dishes from traditions around the world, and conclude with a sparkling New Year’s Gala menu.
Princess will offer dozens of sailings to ports of call all over the world during the Thanksgiving holiday period. Regardless of where they are in their journey, every ship will celebrate the American Thanksgiving holiday on November 24 in grand style with Thanksgiving-themed events and football broadcasts on outside big screens. Of course, the elaborate Thanksgiving feast will serve as the focal point of the Princess Cruise Thanksgiving celebration.
“Holiday meals were always a big deal to me growing up in a big family and a source of excitement and anticipation. But I didn’t learn about the American Thanksgiving tradition where food is the undeniable star of the show until I was an adult and started working at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, “Sodamin, the head of culinary arts for Princess Cruises and an Austrian native, said. “The creative and innovative new Thanksgiving menu pays homage to cherished holiday customs while also introducing some exciting new dishes that we anticipate will quickly become crowd favourites. It has been a meaningful and memorable experience working on this menu with our talented team of culinary artists. This year’s Thanksgiving will be completely stress-free because we’ll handle all the shopping, cooking, and cleanup.”
