Nippon Express Europe GmbH (hereinafter “NX Europe”), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., recently established Nippon Express Morocco SARLAU last July and Nippon Express Morocco Free Zone SARLAU in August to operate as subsidiary companies for its two existing business locations in Morocco, the Morocco branch and the Tanger Med logistics centre.

On September 26, a ceremony to mark the creation of these two businesses was conducted in Tangier, in northern Morocco.
The Nippon Express Group’s commercial expansion in Morocco began in December 2017 with the establishment of the Morocco Branch in Casablanca. In June 2019, the Tanger Med Logistics Center opened in the Port of Tanger Med to offer logistics services and air/sea cargo transportation.

Morocco is Africa’s second-largest automaker after South Africa and a vital ally of the European Union. For some time now, there has been a significant need for import/export logistics, procurement, and sales geared toward the automotive sector, and an increasing number of auto and auto part manufacturers are establishing plants in the nation.
