The winner of the “Most Innovative Use Case for Network Slicing” and the “Most Innovative Private Network Project” awards, ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, announced today that it will exhibit at Network X 2022 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
SPN-Fine Granularity Unit (FGU) and Commercialization by China Mobile and ZTE “Most Innovative Use Case for Network Slicing” award given.
High-quality private connections and production services in the sector demand low bandwidth but high performance, i. e. dependable latency, solid insulation, and extremely reliable transport. These conditions, however, cannot be met by conventional Ethernet with “best efforts” forwarding.
SPN (Slicing Packet Network), which enables hierarchical hard slicing in Ethernet for the first time, has been launched by China Mobile in collaboration with ZTE. The SPN enables forward compatibility as well as a scalable fine-granularity transport line because the granularity has been decreased from 5 Gbps to 10 Mbps. In addition, it interfaces with SRv6 and MPLS VPN services to ensure end-to-end zero packet loss, enable forwarding with a set latency, and enable physical line-level isolation, enabling the construction of networks for various uses. For 5G private networks and private enterprise circuits, this network offers unique service transport with variable capacity, physical isolation, and consistent latency.
ZTE, China Mobile, and NR Electric named E2E-5G-TSN for Green Grid as their “Most Innovative Private Network Project.”
The effective utilisation of clean new energies, such as wind and solar energy, in the field of power grids is a key strategy for reaching the objective of a green and low-carbon economy. Solar and wind power, on the other hand, are unstable and easily influenced by the local climate. Therefore, precise measurement, control, and real-time interaction are needed. The strict network needs of the energy sector cannot be met by conventional mobile phone networks.
