With the help of the iCargo cargo management platform from IBS Software, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has successfully launched its new Integrated Cargo Management System (ICMS).
The ICMS is a strategic effort to modernise cargo operations and customer delivery by removing fragmented cargo systems and integrating the newest cloud technologies into SIA’s core cargo platform.
SIA’s freight business operations are supported by iCargo. The ICMS streamlines end-to-end operations by offering business users in Singapore and abroad a single integrated cargo application and a smooth interface with partners like general sales agents, ground handling agents, and freight forwarders. Aside from assuring compliance with international laws, improved data quality and insights enable SIA to make data-driven choices in real-time across its sales, operations, and finance activities.
Approximately 1,500 users from the sales, operations, and financial sectors have benefited from the ICMS since it went live on August 1st, 2022. iCargo has enabled more than 24,000 flights, generated 202,000 bookings and 192,000 airway bills, and processed and responded to 8.5 million incoming messages.
