With the assistance of the leading worldwide academic publisher Springer Nature, the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute, a global non-profit organisation, today announced the introduction of the “Algoritmi Prize.”
The annual Science and Technology Prize was established to honour robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) research that has the potential to produce practical answers to major global problems.
The Algoritmi Prize will each year focus on a different global issue that the international community is dealing with, such as the security of food and water, healthcare, energy, and climate change. All qualified candidates will get invitations to an open selection process that will be judged by a panel of impartial, worldwide experts.
The successful candidates will subsequently be given financing to advance and commercialise their invention in addition to having access to the FII Institute’s platforms, which will allow them to communicate their findings with financiers, researchers, and policymakers. First prize winners will be announced at the FII 7th Edition in October 2023, and applications will be accepted starting in January 2023.
A distinguished speaker in the field of robotics will also give a lecture at an annual symposium held in conjunction with the prize at the FII sessions. The conference will bring together participants with a shared passion for robotics conversation and innovation from academia, government, and industry.
