Members of the new Semiconductor Climate Consortium (SCC) will discuss important aspects of the group’s vision, goals, and membership at two sessions during COP27 in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt.

SEMI, the industry association serving the global electronics manufacturing and design supply chain, made the announcement today.
SCC founding members ASM, ASMPT, Samsung Electronics, and Schneider Electric will participate in a panel discussion on Nov. 10 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Hotel Steigenberger Alcazar. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore will provide the keynote address. The discussion will focus on the significance of cooperation, transparency, and reporting throughout the semiconductor value chain. Speaking at the event will be Mark Patel, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, and Dr. Mousumi Bhat, Vice President of Sustainability Programs at SEMI.
ASM, ASMPT, Samsung Electronics, Schneider Electric, and representatives from other companies will also take part in the panel discussion entitled “Semiconductor Climate Consortium Ambition to 1.5” that will take place in the COP27 Blue Zone on November 9 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
