On November 1, the 18th China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) convened.
19 Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and cooperation agreements were signed as a result of the meeting, including the MOU on the Development of a Cooperation Framework to Promote Participation of Singaporean Enterprises in Industrial Development and Innovation in the China-Singapore Knowledge City ( CSGKS). The meeting also provided a promising direction for CSGKS, which is situated in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The signing of the MOU, according to a representative of CSGKS’ Commission of the Cooperation Affairs Office, will help the region attract more cutting-edge high-tech businesses from Singapore and other nations, deepen its cooperation with Singapore in the field of scientific and technological innovation, support Singaporean businesses in their full participation in CSGKS’ industrial development and innovation, and make it a more attractive location for Singaporean businesses.
