Today, The Walt Disney Company hosted its 2022 Disney Accelerator Demo Day to highlight the six companies in this year’s Disney Accelerator programme that are dedicated to assisting in the development of the immersive experience future.

More than 15 senior executives from The Walt Disney Company spoke with the founders of the six growth-stage companies during the Demo Day presentation to discuss innovation and new technologies and the potential effects they may have across Disney.

The annual Disney Accelerator, a business development programme created to hasten the growth of innovative businesses from all over the world, is celebrated on Demo Day. In order to bring innovative products and cutting-edge technologies to market, Disney has continued to work with many of the Disney Accelerator participant companies since the program’s launch in 2014. The businesses in this year’s programme concentrate on a variety of technologies, including augmented reality (AR), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and virtual characters powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Disney has long employed cutting-edge technology to support exceptional storytelling, as well as to reinvent and enhance the entertainment industry. Disney will continue to investigate how these kinds of new canvases and approaches may help build integrated experiences across physical, digital, and virtual worlds as the business focuses on its next-generation storytelling initiatives.
