The industry-leading provider of proactive and comprehensive API security, Noname Security, has announced the release of its newest product, Noname Recon.
In order to quickly find and fix issues, without requiring any integration, installation, or implementation, Recon allows customers to simulate an attacker performing reconnaissance on an organization’s domains.
There appears to be no letup in the growth of cybercrime. Seventy-six percent of those surveyed in a recent study on API security trends in 2022 commissioned by Noname Security reported having experienced an API security incident within the previous twelve months. To gain access to a company, cybercriminals can use a variety of methods, but APIs have become the most popular attack vector in recent years.
“Staying ahead of cybercriminals is one of the best ways to protect against attacks. APIs open up thousands of points of vulnerability for an organization, so it’s not surprising that hackers target them, according to Shay Levi, co-founder and CTO of Noname Security. What can be done to foil a hacker’s attempts? Accept his way of thinking. We’ve simplified the process of discovering security holes and intelligence that could be exploited with Recon, which mimics an attacker’s reconnaissance efforts so that customers can better use the gleaned knowledge to keep themselves safe.
