The Point of Care Marketing Association (POCMA), a nonprofit group that works to promote education and advocacy for the Point of Care (POC) channel, is happy to share the findings of a study conducted by MedFuse that sheds light on the full scope of POC marketing. According to MedFuse, a provider of healthcare data technology, HCPs who use POC marketing see more patients and fill more prescriptions.
Ten POCMA participants submitted lists of HCPs in their networks, which were compared to real-world data from MedFuse. The analysis was performed on data from July 2021 to June 2022, spanning a full calendar year. The study used one of the most comprehensive claims datasets, capturing about 230 million and 250 million unique patients from prescription claims and medical claims, respectively, which amounts to about 2.2 billion and 3 billion prescriptions and medical claims, respectively. Three out of every four prescriptions are written by an HCP who uses POC media. POC was >5x more cost-efficient in driving conversions, as revealed by a case study* that demonstrated POC accounted for 17% of the NBRx attribution with only 2% of the media outlay.
