Thomas von Strong has been recognised as an exemplary professional in the postal industry and the deserving recipient of the Shining Star Award by OMG, LLC.

Thomas is a Strategic Account Manager who works in the California Valley region on a daily basis. Manager George Satiah, the National Customer Success Director at OMG, LLC, nominated him for the Shining Star Award.

As someone with a wealth of experience guiding teams and delegating responsibilities, George praised Thomas’s leadership abilities. According to George, “Thomas is an extremely productive manager who consistently strives to exceed all expectations by going above and beyond. He establishes priorities that go beyond scope and contractual obligations. Whatever is important to the client is important to Thomas. He has a ‘What Else Can We Do For You?’ attitude and wears many hats to find solutions that benefit the client.”

It is clear that Thomas consistently goes above and beyond, which makes all the difference in the superior experiences he is able to provide to clients. When asked how Thomas has contributed to his operation’s success, George stated, “Thomas has contributed significantly to many positive changes that have added value in OMG’s relationship with the client.”

George went on to commend Thomas for identifying opportunities to build and strengthen internal partnerships, as well as develop new processes to deliver efficiency and additional savings in site operations. George goes on to say that Thomas has gone above and beyond, even making “key recommendations to improve service quality by terminating redundant processes that no longer add value” to OMG’s daily operations. Thomas’s insight and willingness to share ideas that improve efficiency are greatly valued.

In his glowing nomination of Thomas for the Shining Star Award, George went into detail about how Thomas has shown significant personal growth in both a personal and professional capacity during his time with OMG. George commended Thomas’ efforts in this regard, saying, “He takes advantage of every opportunity to expand his knowledge and skills. He has been certified as a Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) and Office Service Professionals Certification (OSPC) by the National Mail Systems Management Association (MSMA) in the last few months of this year, and has taken additional courses to earn certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has rapidly expanded his knowledge and is regarded as a trustworthy SME by the client.”

Furthermore, Thomas’ contributions to OMG, LLC go beyond client interactions. He is also a model employee who his coworkers enjoy being around. Thomas exemplifies “servant leadership,” according to George, by “practic[ing] what he preaches.” Thomas personally trains every member of his team with passion, pride, and dedication to excellence, according to George. One of the main reasons George nominated Thomas for this award was Thomas’s role in encouraging the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures. “In his position, Thomas has been actively engaged in the storage and distribution of critical PPE equipment and supplies for the client since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic,” George said. Thomas oversees courier services and has gone above and beyond to ensure that his team follows strict protocols and safety guidelines in the transportation and distribution of critical supplies to support the client’s internal system.
