On November 26, the Internet of Things (IoT) World Summit 2022 got under way in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, East China.
The summit brought together leaders from around the world to discuss future development, the most recent scientific and technological results, and excellent application cases of the IoT industry as a major component of the 222nd IoT World Expo, which was also held in the city.
Wuxi is the only national demonstration zone for sensor network innovation in China and is a leader in IoT development. The area has recently been continuously investigated by the city.
The city’s IoT sector grew by more than 350 billion yuan in 2021, with Jiangsu accounting for half of this growth and nearly 25% of the national total. Between January and September of this year, the number continued to increase at a 14% annual rate.
The city’s digital economy has advanced significantly thanks to industry, with the size of its major industries surpassing 600 billion yuan in 2021 and placing it first in Jiangsu for development index.
