The Cisco Live According to the most recent release of Cisco’s annual Security Outcomes Report, which was made public today, firms are placing a high importance on cybersecurity resilience as they seek to protect themselves against a fast changing threat landscape.
The report, titled Security Outcomes Report, Volume 3: Achieving Security Resilience, lists the top seven success factors that improve enterprise security resilience, with a focus on the cultural, environmental, and solution-based variables that companies use to accomplish security. The results are based on survey responses from more than 4,700 respondents in 26 different nations.
A startling 62 percent of the firms polled reported having encountered a security event that negatively impacted business in the last two years, making resilience a key priority. Network or data breaches (51.5%), network or system failures (51.1%), ransomware events (46.7%), and distributed denial of service assaults were the most common types of occurrences (46.4 percent).
