For application in AI and IoT, Aetina has introduced new AI inference platforms—the AIP-SQ67 series—with great performance and expandability. The AIP-SQ67 series platforms, which are a part of the Aetina MegaEdge family, are compatible with a variety of sensors and extension modules, making them suitable for the majority of complicated AI-powered applications.

The x86 platforms are made for AI programmers and system integrators to construct any edge AI or machine vision system that includes numerous sensors, intensive AI workloads, and quick image data analysis activities. The platform serves as the computational hub in an edge AI system created with an AIP-SQ67, receiving external image or video data through cameras and processing the data to produce inference results based on the AI model deployed or installed on the platform.

The AIP-SQ67 series platforms can be integrated into a variety of vertical AI applications in smart factories, including automated optical inspection (AOI) for improving quality control processes and 3D virtual fencing for preventing workplace injuries. While the 3D virtual fence application uses sophisticated 3D cameras and AI models that can identify human motions, the AOI uses sensors like line scan cameras and AI models for automated product inspection.
