The Golden State needs to step up its Internet game. Connected California is a free initiative from the California State Library and Southern California Library Cooperative (SCLC) in collaboration with local libraries to close the state’s digital divide. The programme provides phone-based, one-on-one assistance to help people in the community locate affordable internet service and devices, learn the fundamentals of computer use, and access and utilise online resources for things like professional development, job hunting, and more.
Please explain how this thing operates. Appointments can be scheduled with a “Digital Navigator” by phone, email, text, or web form for residents of California. Monday through Friday, individuals may expect to hear back from a helpful, knowledgeable professional within 24 hours of their initial inquiry. During this step, the Navigator will speak with the community member one-on-one by phone to determine the most effective course of action. There are navigators who speak both English and Spanish who can assist you.
