The “Pool Entrepreneurship Stars to Create a Better Future” grand final of the 2022 Innovation Nanshan Entrepreneurs Star Contest came to a close on December 12. Twelve initiatives in total received prizes, six from the scale-up group and six from the start-up group.

In this year’s competition, almost 600 concepts from six different industries were submitted, and after three rounds of fierce competition, 20 of them advanced to the final. The “New Generation of Phased-array Terminal for Satellite Communications,” “R&D and Industrialization of Homemade Industrial Simulation Software,” and four other projects received the first, second, and third prizes from the startup group. The scale-up group’s prize winners were “PopuPiano Smart Portable Piano,” “PhiGent Robotics – The Next Generation of Autonomous Driving Solutions Centered on 3D Comprehension,” and four other ideas.

This competition, which had a total prize fund of about 9 million yuan, focused on the six key industries supported by the China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition and highlighted the growth of the “20+8” strategic emerging industries and future industrial clusters of Shenzhen. Participants will receive thorough support guidelines and services after the competition to aid in the expansion of their enterprises. These catalysts will consist of startup finance, settlement prizes, priority membership in MakerSpace with discounted fees, priority application for apartments or rental subsidies for talent (for qualifying winning teams only), etc.
