The global release of LG Electronics’ (LG) LG ThinQTM UP upgradeable household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, oven ranges, and dishwashers, has been announced. LG’s upgradeable appliances give users the chance to take advantage of new features and functions while being able to adapt to their own demands and evolving lifestyles. LG ThinQTM UP, which was introduced in South Korea in January 2022, will be made available outside of that country starting in March 2023 in the United States, with availability in other significant markets to follow.

Built on the idea of “Evolving with You,” which puts the needs of the customer first, LG ThinQTM UP appliances can add new capabilities over time, giving users more value. Based on the usage trends and suggestions of owners of ThinQTM UP appliances, LG will continuously develop simple-to-install software upgrades and hardware add-ons, giving customised options and new conveniences.

Dryer models with ThinQTM UP can use Laundry Saver Mode, one of the custom features that will be available for download in 2023. Laundry Saver is incredibly helpful for situations where you can’t immediately unload the dryer since it keeps the drum turning after the cycle is ended (and until the dryer door is opened) to help avoid wrinkles and odours. Improved Nighttime Brightness Control for refrigerators with ThinQTM UP is another feature available. It softens the interior lighting of the refrigerators at night so that it is not too bright when opening the door. The LG ThinQTM app makes it simple to download all new software features, which are all optional. LG has announced the global introduction of its ground-breaking lg thinq up appliances.
