JA Solar Advances In The Turkish Market With Power From Home Production

The Turkish market is seeing growth for JA Solar, the top global producer of high-performance photovoltaic (PV) devices. It is also the first firm to deliver modules with 182 mm cell technology to the nation. Of the top five worldwide PV suppliers, it is also the only one having domestic production in Turkey. Turkish JA Solar module market share in the first three quarters of 2022 was 12.4%. The demand for solar power plant (SPP) investments in the local market is further fueled by the huge increase in electricity costs in Turkey since August 2022. The OEM business model used by JA Solar in Turkey will be a huge asset for the company’s continued growth in the area.
The grid has recently been successfully connected to rooftop SPP projects created by General Solar, one of Turkey’s top EPC firms, and equipped using JA Solar DeepBlue 3.0 modules. One of these is the rooftop SPP project of a major textile industry, which is estimated to cut CO2 emissions by 5,890 tonnes annually and has an installed capacity of 4.76 MW. The other two GES installations were set up on the factory roofs of two major businesses engaged in the food and packing industries, respectively. With projects with respective capacities of 1.24 MW and 0.876 MW, it is intended to cut CO2 emissions by 1,534 tonnes and 1,084 tonnes annually.
The most well-liked JA Solar products are the DeepBlue 3.0 modules that were used in the projects. DeepBlue 3.0 modules have been widely employed in international PV projects since the first shipment in October 2020. They distinguish themselves from competing goods and have caught the eye of the international PV market. In order to stay on top of technological advancements, JA Solar introduced DeepBlue 4.0 X in May 2022. DeepBlue 4.0 X delivers more efficiency, more power, a more robust power production capability, and outstanding reliability while inheriting a number of benefits from DeepBlue 3.0. From DeepBlue 3.0 to DeepBlue 4.0 X, JA Solar has consistently followed the “customer-oriented” product design approach while promoting the adoption and deployment of PV technology to add value for its international clients.
