At CES 2023, SwitchBot’s new Hub 2 makes its debut. SwitchBot Curtain is the first product in the ecosystem to be expected to work with Matter through Hub 2 due to its Matter support.

A Matter hub with Wi-Fi capabilities called SwitchBot Hub 2 can make SwitchBot Bluetooth goods Matter compatible. These Bluetooth devices can be managed using Matter on Apple Home or other platforms after connecting to Hub 2. The thermo-hygrometer capability of Hub 2 allows users to check the temperature and humidity on Apple Home as well.
SwitchBot Curtain and Hub 2 compatibility is scheduled for February.
At the time of Hub 2’s formal introduction in late February, SwitchBot Curtain will be the first to support Matter. During the CES demo, SwitchBot Curtain may be operated via the Apple Home App rather than Matter. When the final certification is completed in late February, it will formally support Matter via OTA. Through the course of this year, additional SwitchBot products will be able to sequentially support Matter.
