According to a KPMG poll, transformational leadership (59%) predominates in Brazilian family businesses, where the leader seeks to alter fundamental ideas and values. Following the nation are the Americas (56%) and Europe (36%).

The highest rate of authoritarianism was seen in the Middle East and Africa (50%) and Asia (39%). These are some of the conclusions of a study that polled 2,439 leaders in the manufacturing, services, agricultural, and construction industries from 70 nations, including Brazil, as well as those from the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The study found that in the authoritarian style, the leader exhibits paternalism and authority, and the charismatic has the power to inspire and motivate followers who place their trust in the leader.
