A gala dinner, hosted by FIFA in conjunction with the 2022 Aspire Academy Global Summit (AAGS), marked the end of the first day of the summit.

The conversation with former England captain David Beckham, who discussed the effect of the Aspire Academy on Qatar’s 2022 World Cup legacy, was the highlight of the evening. After a day of motivational lectures at the Aspire Academy, where representatives from the 32 countries that made it to the World Cup finals and fellows from Aspire in the World covered everything from fostering young people to the use of data, he had some reflections.
