The COVID-19 epidemic has had a toll on the LED video wall market, per TrendForce’s research findings. Fortunately, in 2021 the market began to improve.
Industry concentration grew much more in this situation. The market shares of the top 10 worldwide LED video wall producers increased to 71% in 2021, according to research by TrendForce, and were anticipated to rise further this year. Nearly 40% of the world’s demand for LED video walls is now centred on the Chinese market due to rising domestic demand in China.
The financial results of Chinese public listed companies for 2021 show that the combined shipments of the top five LED video wall manufacturers exceeded 1,600,000 m2, with Unilumin contributing 814,550.04 m2, accounting for more than 50% of total shipments and coming in first among all LED video wall listed companies. The company’s sales volume between 2017 and 2021 demonstrated how rapidly its product sales increased in that year.
Unilumin has substantial influence in the emerging markets for LED video walls, especially in the virtual production business. A significant number of international virtual studios have been produced by Unilumin using a combination of LED video wall and XR technologies.
