Asuzero Singapore Pte. Ltd. was created in Singapore by Asuene Inc., a prominent climate technology firm in Japan (hereinafter “Asuzero Singapore”). Asuene begins full-scale deployment of “Asuzero,” the cloud-based climate platform for measuring, reporting, and lowering carbon emissions, as well as a one-stop solution for decarbonization, positioning the subsidiary as a central hub for its company developing throughout APAC.
In Japan, Asuzero has been introduced to more than 500 businesses. Asuene’s ever-evolving service lines now include English assistance and the product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) function, and its next goal is to become Asia’s top provider of climate technology.
The government of Singapore published the “Singapore Green Plan 2030” in 2021, outlining specific goals for sustainability in Singapore, such as reducing CO2 emissions and fostering green finance. The country as a whole is striving to become carbon neutral, and the government has passed a budget that would increase the carbon price in 2022. As of 2023, listed businesses will be required to declare GHG emissions for Scope1-3 (*1) and climate-related reporting based on TCFD, according to a separate announcement by the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
