announced today that BlackBerry IVYTM, a cloud-based AI platform jointly created by BlackBerry and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Connectivity for Cars, is now pre-integrated into three commercially available digital cockpit platforms from top Tier 1 automotive suppliers Bosch and PATEO. This will allow automakers to quickly deploy cutting-edge third-party applications that will improve the in-vehicle experience for both drivers and passengers.
The first public display of the BlackBerry IVY in a vehicle will take place at the BlackBerry (LVCC West, booth number 4025) and Amazon (LVCC West, booth number 4001) booths at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. In May 2023, the BlackBerry IVY solution will be generally accessible. It is the outcome of two years of intense development effort and countless iterations tested with pilot partners and clients.
Several BlackBerry IVY-based applications running on industrial automotive platforms will be showcased by BlackBerry and AWS at CES, including: • Bosch’s information domain computing platform in a Jeep Grand Cherokee with cutting-edge AI-based solutions for tyre and brake wear prediction powered by Compredict, and safe in-vehicle payments powered by CarIQ. In order to develop insights utilising machine learning (ML) that help forecast the behaviour of car components before they fail, as well as safe verification of payment transactions in the Vehicle, visitors will be shown how real vehicle data is abstracted, normalised, and securely processed.
