Today, BJG Electronics Group (BJG) signed a long-term deal with Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) to supply interconnect and electromechanical components for the Light Armed Helicopter (LAH) and Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH-1 Surion) programmes.
The multi-year contract with BJG will enable KAI to reduce inventory and provide a steady supply of high-quality products.
The KUH-1 Surion, which was developed in Korea, is being used by the military, police, emergency medical transport, forest service, and Coast Guard for operations there. Additional KUH-1 Surion variations feature VIP-friendly interior upgrades and structurally stronger versions can carry an external payload like fuel tanks or weaponry.
The multi-year contract with BJG will enable KAI to reduce inventory and provide a continuous supply of high-quality goods as required by programme requirements. Many of the top aircraft OEMs in the world have used similar products and supply chain services from BJG.
BJG CEO Glenn Davidson said, “It is an honour for BJG to partner with KAI as a supplier for the KUH-1 Surian helicopter project. Our group is devoted to fulfilling KAI’s stringent supplier standards and assisting in the program’s future success.”
