/PRNewswire/ – SHANGHAI and WATERLOO, ON, DECEMBER 7, 2022 — The autonomous driving controller and intelligent digital cockpit controller of the HiPhi Z, the second flagship vehicle of Chinese new mobility and intelligent driving technology company Human Horizons, will be powered by BlackBerry QNX technology, it was announced today by BlackBerry Limited (NYSE: BB; TSX: BB).
Powered by QNX® OS for Safety, QNX® Hypervisor, and QNX® Neutrino® RTOS, the HiPhi Z provides its consumers with a cutting-edge, luxurious ride.
The digital cockpit of the HiPhi Z is reminiscent of a spaceship, and it comes standard with a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence voice assistant called the HiPhi Bot, all of which contribute to the overall quality of the ride for both the driver and the passengers. For instance, the HiPhi Bot may adjust the cab’s central control screen to the driver’s preferred viewing angle, nod in greeting, and listen to the driver’s voice to determine where the person is seated. It can even glide gracefully to the tune of the car stereo, like a dancer.
With QNX Neutrino RTOS and QNX Hypervisor, HiPhi Z’s digital cockpit benefits from a highly dependable operating system and virtualization platform, respectively. The QNX Hypervisor enables the consolidation of many systems of varying criticality and operating system environments onto a single hardware platform, which in turn reduces both the time and money spent developing the system and the cost of owning it over its lifetime.
