43 0
In the past few months, Celgard, LLC, a subsidiary of Polypore International, LP (Polypore), has settled litigation against Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co. Ltd. (Senior China) and several United States defendants in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California as well as against Senior China in the United Kingdom (UK), as well as Senior China's litigation against Celgard. There are confidentiality terms attached to the settlement agreement.
In the public records of the California District Court and the UK Litigation Register:

As part of the settlement, Celgard voluntarily dismissed all claims against the Senior defendants that were set forth in its Sixth Amended Complaint in the California District Court, as well as the Senior defendants voluntarily dismissed all counterclaims against Celgard and Polypore.
As a result, Celgard has also dismissed its UK litigation against Senior China.
It was announced earlier this year that Celgard had successfully resolved the Targray (See Release), MTI (See Release) and Farasis (See Release) lawsuits. As Celgard continues to safeguard its assets and customers, it will continue to protect its intellectual property (IP) regarding coated and uncoated separators for lithium-ion batteries and its proprietary technology.
A brief introduction to Celgard and Polypore
Dry-process microporous membranes that are used as separators in lithium-ion batteries are manufactured by Celgard using solvent-free, coated and uncoated dry-process microporous membranes. A large portion of the performance of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and other specialty applications is determined by Celgard's battery separator technology.
As a subsidiary of Polypore International, LP, an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, Celgard is a wholly owned subsidiary of Polypore International, LLC.
There are nine facilities within the Polypore Group, which specialize in microporous membranes that are used in electric and non-electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and specialty applications. Visit www.celgard.com and www.polypore.com to find out more.
