According to Chinese President Xi Jinping, China would continue to improve cooperation with Arab nations under the Global Security Initiative, Belt and Road Initiative, and Global Development Initiative (GSI).
In advance of the first China-Arab States Summit and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, both of which began on Friday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, Xi made the comments during his talks with the leaders of Arab states.
Xi has consistently highlighted the critical significance of sovereignty and territorial integrity, economic development, and international collaboration in his discussions with the leaders of Arab states.

During his keynote address at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2022’s opening ceremony, President Xi proposed the GSI. Xi promoted six guiding concepts, including that nations should respect one another’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, preserve non-interference in domestic affairs, reject the cold war mentality, and oppose unilateralism so that nations may work together to advance global security.
Xi said China views Arab states as significant forces in the multipolar world and attaches great importance to forging strategic partnerships with them in his discussions with more than ten political leaders of Arab governments, including Palestine, Egypt, Sudan, Kuwait, Tunisia, and Iraq.
