A deal with the United States has been announced by Stratolaunch, LLC. To enable the flight test of the business’s first disposable Talon-A hypersonic test vehicle, TA-1.
Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). According to Stratolaunch, TA-1 will launch in the first quarter of 2023.
Talon-A, a rocket-powered, autonomous testbed that can fly a range of hypersonic flight profiles and has specialised payload experiments on board, is launched from the Roc aircraft. The initial Talon-A vehicle has a disposable design. Reusable hypersonic flight will be possible with the Talon-upcoming A’s generation of vehicles.
