EUROPEAN MOBILE DATA TRAFFIC TO TRIPLE BY 2028, CONTINUING PRESSURE ON NETWORK INVESTMENT, NEW GSMA REPORT PREDICTS
As a result of the growth in 5G adoption, coverage and capacity, as well as the migration into 4G migration in central and eastern Europe, mobile data traffic in Europe will almost triple by 2028, according to the 2023 Mobile Economy Report from the GSMA.A study conducted in 48 territories indicates that 5G subscribers are interested in adding high-speed services and content to their mobile contracts as a result of the increasing demand for high-quality gaming, extended reality and video content.
