Nanotech Energy’s graphene-powered batteries’ amazing and unmatched non-flammable properties were just impressively shown in a new abuse test.
The 4.5BRA bullet travelled 2,917 feet per second through the air, propelling a Nanotech 18650 lithium-ion battery cell driven by graphene. Even after taking such a severe hit, the battery remained intact and continued to hold a charge.
When a 4.5 BRA bullet travelling at 2,915 feet per second was shot at a competing commercial 18650 battery, the latter quickly caught fire and stopped holding a charge.
Speaking on the topic of battery safety, Dr. Jack Kavanaugh, CEO and President of Nanotech Energy, Inc., remarked, “In recent days and weeks, battery safety has been in the limelight like never before. An apartment fire in New York is simply the most recent example of a fire brought on by an old-fashioned lithium-ion battery. As our society grows more reliant on battery technology, safety must be prioritised above all else. That’s why we were the first to develop reliable battery technology.
The latest abuse test results for Nanotech’s graphene-powered lithium-ion batteries corroborate the earlier results. In two additional tests conducted in the summer of 2022, they demonstrated superior performance than industry-standard lithium-ion batteries.
