Since then, it has rapidly evolved, and in 2022, it has been cleared for stereotactic navigation for the spine by the FDA. In the last eight years, it has been used for a wide range of applications, such as spinal implant guidance, plastic surgery, orthopedic trauma, and oncology, as well as interventional radiology, in eight countries.
