Galen Hope Announces Grand Opening of Delray Beach Location

In celebration of her 20th year of creating innovative and compassionate mental health programs, Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt has opened Galen Hope in Delray Beach, a sister center to her original center in Coral Gables, in order to continue the work she has been doing. On September 5, 2023, the new office was officially opened, welcoming a staff of experienced mental health professionals who provide developmentally appropriate care for adolescents ages 8 to 18 who suffer from mental health conditions, eating disorders, or co-occurring conditions.
The Galen Hope Foundation is a collaborative effort between Wendy and Dr. Galen Hope. Amy Boyers, both renowned leaders in psychiatry and psychology who have always worked towards healing the whole person through a comprehensive treatment approach. The PHP and IOP programs they offer combine behavioral health care, actionable step-downs, and community reintegration, allowing clients to develop the skills they need to return to their lives and live independently as quickly as possible. It is with great pleasure that Galen Hope is expanding into Delray Beach and the surrounding areas in order to address the vital need for adolescent mental health care with a lot of emphasis on family programming, life skills, and academic reintegration.

Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt, FAED, is a board-certified family physician
As a board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt has helped clients over the past two decades, serving in roles as Chief Resident at Bellevue Hospital, State Medical Director of Nevada, and founding distinctive and renowned mental health care and eating recovery treatment programs. As her fifth program and a product of her 20 years' experience, Galen Hope offers evidence-based practice to ensure the highest level of care in the least restrictive environment by providing evidence-based practice.
A strong emphasis is placed on psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and effective treatment in all of Dr. Oliver-Pyatt's programs. There are various types of programs that include family education and support, therapeutic outings, and a comprehensive approach to creating meaningful and thoughtful processes that collaborate with outpatient teams so that clients can return to their communities after a period of time.
Doctor of Philosophy, Amy Boyers
In addition to being a licensed clinical psychologist, Amy Boyers is adjunct faculty at the University of Miami Counseling Center, the founding president of the Miami Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP), and the founding and president of Galen Hope. Since 2001, she has been in private practice in Miami.
She was awarded a prestigious U.S. Presidential Award after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with honors. The University of Miami has been awarded a Department of Defense psychological research fellowship. In addition to her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Miami Counseling Center, she completed a post-doctoral residency at the Renfrew Center as well as her second residency at the University of Miami, where she was the primary therapist on a NCI-funded research project examining cognitive-behavioral stress management and relaxation training for breast cancer survivors.. The topics on which she has spoken locally and nationally include eating disorders, stress, trauma, and adolescent development.
