Gogo Business Aviation Releases Over-the-Air Software Updates Enhancing AVANCE with Industry-First Capability

44 0
The Gogo Business Aviation group (NASDAQ: GOGO) today announced that it has released over-the-air (OTA) software updates for its industry-leading Gogo AVANCE platform, which is one of the most advanced in the industry.
In the future, existing AVANCE customers and new customers will be able to update their AVANCE system software remotely through Gogo DASH - an app-based toolkit exclusively available to AVANCE customers - eliminating the need for additional downtime for manual software updates.
Due to the introduction of OTA, it is now possible to deploy software updates to AVANCE aircraft without physically touching the aircraft, allowing for significant reductions in the amount of time it takes to deploy important software updates as well as an improved efficiency and management of upgrading large fleets in general.
In the words of Sergio Aguirre, Gogo's president and chief operating officer, this industry-first capability for connectivity systems demonstrates the company's deep understanding of business aviation and the maintenance that goes along with aviation-grade technology. OTA software updates are completely hands-free, saving our customers time and money, and making sure they have access to the latest AVANCE features and functionalities.
Through a Cloudport connection via Gogo's secure digital content delivery network, Gogo Cloud, or by means of a Terrestrial Modem (TM), AVANCE customers can experience the ease of OTA software updates. All AVANCE customers will be able to access OTA only through the Gogo Cloud network after December 31, 2024.
Cloudport and TM are both capable of executing OTA software updates in the same way. For more information on how to upgrade the AVANCE platform software over-the-air with the Gogo DASH Equipment Maintenance app, current AVANCE customers can refer to this step-by-step video, or they can reach out to Gogo's connectivity experts at http://www.gogoair.com/connectivity.
