GWM’s global first HAVAL H6 PHEV 4WD is produced at its Iracemápolis plant, which received a Daimler Group technology upgrade earlier this year. The HAVAL H6 PHEV 4WD also has a new HAVAL Logo that displays the latest EV technology and image. GWM R&D team designed and tuned the model based on local road conditions, user travel habits, and modern charging network. The model has a class-leading 170km range, max 762N.m torque, and max 289kW power, thanks to DHT technology developed independently by GWM under the L.E.M.O.N. platform (acronym of Lightweight Electrification, Multi-purpose, Omni-protection, and Networking).
“The HAVAL H6 PHEV’s long range is exceptional, allowing us to avoid frequent charging.” During the test drive, the model can accelerate quickly and powerfully. It also has app-based remote control and voice commands. “These experiences are innovative and excellent,” a local media journalist said after the test drive.
The HAVAL H6 PHEV 4WD is expected to arrive in Brazil in the first quarter of next year, followed by other electrified models. GWM will use Brazil as a landmark and regional hub to expand its network of new energy vehicles in other Latin American markets.
GWM officially took over the former Daimler’s Iracemápolis plant earlier this year, announcing that it would undergo intelligent and digital transformation. When Brazilian Vice President Hamilton Mouro visited the plant in July of this year, he recognised GWM’s leading technology in the fields of intelligence and new energy.
“GWM will offer new energy vehicles to users through innovative products and new technologies, providing them with clean and intelligent mobility experiences,” said Yang Weiqi, President of GWM Brazil, at the brand launch conference.
