Wemade’s CEO Henry Chang spoke on “The Metaverse and Games” as part of the “What is future arts” panel at the KAIST Museum of Art (“What are the arts of the future”).
He spoke to 130 KAIST students, faculty, and applicants on November 9 at a symposium that was centred on the definition of the metaverse and its unambiguous course.
Identity, entertainment, and economy, according to Chang, are vital components of the metaverse. “Identities in real life and the metaverse must exist, the ecosystem must provide entertainment, and the actions and economic incentives must be tied to the real world,” Chang added.
The game, he continued, “is a fantastic fit for the metaverse and blockchain technology.” “Games used to live independently, like islands, but the blockchain can link them together to establish a gaming economy. The game between games will be the next, and it will allow you to fully experience the metaverse through a massive ecosystem.”
After the talk, Chang and Prof. Jinjoon Lee, the head of the KAIST Art Museum, had a candid discussion about a variety of subjects, including the advantages and disadvantages of technological advancements.
