Ip also presented Prof. Ip with the Michael G. Gale Medal for Distinguished Teaching - HKUST's highest honor in teaching - at the ceremony. As a recognition of his outstanding service in education, CHAN Mansun has been appointed to the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering.
