Cruise lines have recovered more slowly from the pandemic than the majority of the travel industry.
Although cruise lines have loosened regulations recently, many still want a negative COVID-19 test before boarding.
Cruisers are now more worried about being able to make their trip owing to airline delays than being stopped from sailing due to acquiring COVID, according to travel insurance company Squaremouth.com, despite the continuous regulations.
A recent Squaremouth.com poll found that 65% of cruisers are unconcerned about COVID-19, including testing positive and having admission restrictions.
Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Celestial, and Celebrity are a few that still demand a negative test, with other cruise lines having different requirements based on immunisation history.
This response, according to Squaremouth, is a complete change from what their customers said earlier in the year, when 63% of them said they were most worried about getting COVID-19 and not being able to take their planned cruise.
According to Squaremouth, COVID-19 has lost ground to weather and other airline-related disruptions caused by staffing shortages after a busy summer travel season.
