ACSA has selected IDEMIA to implement its solution in all three of South Africa's main international airports, including the border clearance process, using the latest e-Gates technology, at OR Tambo, Cape Town and King Shaka.. As a result of the longstanding relationship IDEMIA has with South Africa, and in particular the successful implementation of the ABIS program with the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), IDEMIA has been able to secure this award.
It is predicted that the biometric solutions deployed in these airports (three international and six domestic) will enhance the level of service offered to passengers throughout the journey, from the check-in to the boarding of the aircraft.
