On Saturday, October 29, 2022, the Pemuda Indonesia Center (PIC) will host the Bali Beach Clean Up to Welcome & Support the G20 Summit in collaboration with the Trash Hero Chapter Sanur and Dewata Sorong.

Ahmad Rivaldi, the PIC’s chairman, claimed that his party is actively seeking volunteers from locals and visitors in and around Bali.

The Bali Beach Clean Up is also a part of an effort to improve Indonesia’s reputation as the G20 Summit’s host country, which prioritises cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality.

The goal of Trash Hero Indonesia, a volunteer movement run by Trash Hero World, according to environmental activist I Wayan Aksara, is to educate the general public through cleaning efforts and preserve a clean environment for future generations.

I Wayan Aksara stated, “Today’s event was held at Mertasari Beach in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, as a form of concern and an invitation to travellers and the general public, to preserve cleanliness and comfort, hopefully, the beach may be clear from rubbish.”

Trash Hero and Dewata Sorong asked locals and visitors to the area to participate as volunteers during the Bali Beach Clean Up.

The Bali Beach Clean Up is an initiative to protect and maintain Bali’s stunning beaches, which eventually benefits both locals and foreign visitors. Together, the volunteers collected both organic and non-organic rubbish from the shore. After being gathered, the trash is divided into recyclable and non-recyclable bins.

After the clean-up, eco-friendly tumblers and t-shirts were presented to the volunteers so they may urge their friends and family to keep the environment clean, especially around the beach.
